Short intro and focus areas

I am a graduate at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, studying Electronics,Telecommunications and Information Technology. At present, I am continuing my academic journey as a master student at Transylvania University of Brașov in the field of Cybersecurity. I am enthusiastic about embracing fresh challenges and am deeply passionate about the ongoing development of technology. In my leisure time I enjoy working on my personal projects, mainly focused on app developing. In addition to being passionate about technology and dedicated to problem-solving, I'm also known for being sociable and friendly and I am an eager to use my skills and acquire hands-on industry experience while collaborating with professionals to foster innovation in the field.

Bachelor’s Thesis – Neural Style Transfer & Image Segmentation Application

  • For my bachelor’s degree, I developed two neural models from scratch using Python—one for style transfer and one for image segmentation—and also presented their algorithmic solutions to compare the two approaches. All these were integrated in a painting-by-numbers game which I created to prove the functionality of this thesis.

Cross-Platform Mobile Application for Private Media & Events (Ongoing Project)

Currently developing a cross-platform mobile application for iOS and Android, focused on event access, personal photo galleries, and private media sharing. The application delivers a modern user experience through:

  • Full-screen cinematic video landing pages
  • Smooth, animated UI transitions using React Native Reanimated and the Animated API
  • Modern tab-based navigation via Expo Router
  • Security is ensured through JWT-based authentication with two-factor authentication (2FA).
  • User-specific private photo galleries are automatically synchronized from Yandex Disk via a custom Node.js microservice.
  • The backend also includes custom WordPress plugins to extend functionality and integration.

iOS To-Do List Application

  • Developed a native iOS application using Swift, focused on task management and productivity.
  • The application supports creating, editing, and deleting tasks, with a clean and intuitive user interface designed according to iOS design guidelines.

Algorithmic Problem Solving & Academic Assignments

  • Solved multiple algorithmic and data-structure problems as part of university coursework.
  • The solutions cover arrays, strings, recursion, sorting algorithms, basic databases, and problem-solving logic, implemented across multiple programming languages.

Management System for a Small Company (Ongoing Project)

  • Currently developing a full-stack management application designed for a small company environment.
  • The system features a React (Vite) frontend and a Node.js/Express backend exposing a RESTful API.
  • Core functionalities include production order management, reporting workflows, and client/product administration.
  • Data persistence is currently handled through structured JSON storage, with a planned migration to a database-based solution for scalability.

Personal Portfolio & Resume Website (GitHub Pages)

  • Built a modern, responsive personal website that showcases my resume, academic journey, projects, and contact details.
  • Implemented a structured two-column resume layout with card-based sections and timeline-style entries for Education and Experience, optimized for quick scanning.
  • Applied responsive design using CSS Grid/Flexbox and media queries; tested layouts across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
  • Improved accessibility using semantic HTML5 structure, ARIA labels where needed, and reduced-motion support.
  • Version-controlled with Git and deployed via GitHub Pages for continuous iteration and updates.

Communities, competitions, learning

BSides Transylvania

This year and the last year I took part in BSides Transylvania, a conference about cyber security, where speakers from all around the world were invited. They approached different subjects, such as: hack responsability, how to become a pentester professional, attacking and defending APIs.

Robotics team

During my time in high school, I was member of the robotics team, and we achieved first place in the Motivate Award category at the FTC, in March 2018, the national robotics competition. In our team I was responsible of building the robot.

CodeRun Hackaton

During my initial year as a student, I participated in CodeRun, a coding competition hosted by BEST Cluj-Napoca in April 2022. As part of this event, we attended training sessions organized by various companies, during which they presented topics relevant to the tasks we were required to solve.

Unbreakable CTF competition

  • Participated individually in the local round of the Unbreakable cybersecurity competition
  • Achieved 2nd place by successfully solving multiple Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges, such as:
    • Web exploitation
    • Forensics
    • Cryptography & Steganography
    • Reverse engineering
